I plan on building a gaming PC.

What i am using it for? : Mainly gaming with some light video editing and schoolwork.

What are you looking for in terms of budget? I have decided on spending around 4000$ on the build. This price does not including monitors and accessories. I am very negotiable with my budget.

Why now? I have been interested in getting a gaming pc for a while now because currently i am stuck on integrated graphics. Also black friday and cyber monday is just around the corner so i want to take advantage of the deals.

Do you have any idea on the parts or specifics you were thinking of? I was pondering if it was worth getting two Nvidia gtx 980TI or if that was going to be overkill. I also plan on using Intel and Nvidia for my processor and graphics card. I am not sure if i want to overclocked or not, it would be a nice fall back though. I need at least 8 TB of storage to hold the various amounts of music, games, and videos i have. I also plan on getting a solid state drive for fast boot up.

How are long do you plan on having this pc build? I would like to have it be able to play all games at max settings at 1080p 60fps for at least a year or two before i have to start upgrading parts.

What type of monitor are you going to be using?

A 4K Budget for 1080p 60fps build is very extreme and a waste of money. For 1080p 60fps build you can spend 1500-2500 and get a computer that can last at least 2 years before needing upgrades. During those 2 years you will play games at or very near ultra settings.

IMO drop your budget or increase your build goal to include 4k with a very nice 4k monitor/tv. (I love OLED though holding out to see what panisonic does next year).

I was thinking about going 4k but i was not sure if i had the budget or not. I want to be able to run 3 monitors and do some uploading while still gaming. I am fine with dropping my budget, i just want to have a top tier pc.
