Need Help With a Liquid Cooling Setup

Hi guys. Right now I use an H50 that I scored for $40. It is cooling my FX8350, which has a TDP of 120W. Today I was doing some overclocking for fun and my CPU started throttling for the first time. Now I am familiar with modes and methods of cooling things, and wrote the tutorial about cooling your CPU. However, I am new to custom loops. I figure my budget is about $300-$320 for a new case and loop. Could someone help me build one? I would like the most cooling possible, I am looking at the Corsair 300R for my case. I was thinking 2 240MM rads, and re-using my H50 as a pump and waterblock, + extra radiator. In that case, the barbs would need to be 1/4 inch becuase that is the pump barb size (did some research). I would like VRM cooling for my MSI 970A G46, if at all possible.
 
I love Alpha Cool stuff especially their radiators with copper cores. Also Swifttec makes a good radiator as well.

As for water blocks I like DangerDen and EK. I also like DangerDen and Alpha Cool for fittings.

As for pumps most are made by Fish Tank companies. I like Aquacomputer pumps but they are like CPUs every one has their preference. I don't like EHEM pumps because they tend to raddle.

I wouldn't because that pump is probably not going to be able to give you the head you need to pump the water through your system. If you still want to try this check this out...

This won't work because the H50 pump is very weak and isn't really able to push more liquid than what is currently contained in the sealed loop at a low flow rate. Remember, it works a single 120mm radiator, and trying to get it to run through motherboard blocks + two rads that are twice as large as its stock one just is NOT going to work. You need to buy a real pump.
 




Can I get a pump and keep it as my water block? It is the old version with the large pump, not the small one. I am trying to cut cost. Where would I find a VRM cooler that would work?

Not really because you will have to push the water through the pump on top of the block. Now you could tear the pump out and seal it but I can almost guarantee you are going to have leaks. So no.

I built my water cooling system for around $350.00. I just recently purchased a VRM/Bridge water block two days ago for $55.00 on ebay because my system is old.
 
If you want to cut costs, don't do it with the most critical components of the loop :\ Get a good pump now and settle for less radiator. Maybe compensate by getting a thicker 240mm radiator and if you really want to, get motherboard blocks. Otherwise you should probably start off with a simpler loop and then save up and plan ahead to expand to more components/radiators. The well-planned approach is generally better than the seat-of-the-pants approach when going the custom loop route.
