I am currently looking at these monitors:

BenQ EW2740L
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-094-BQ

Asus VX279Q
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-062-AS&groupid=17&catid=1120
Asus VN279Q
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-073-AS&groupid=17&catid=1120

Any suggestions are welcomed, as long as its in the price bracket of:
£185-£265
$295-$425
€240-€340

Preferably a good brand (eg;asus, acer and Benq)
27" is the smallest I am willing to go, Thin bezel doesn't matter to much to me but it would be a plus. I would rather get one good 1080p or a mid range 1440p monitor than three cheap 1080p monitors. Thank you in advance!

Hey,

if you are getting a 27" monitor I would strongly advise you to make sure it's at least 1440 p.

1080 p on a 27" looks... ugly (at least to me), not to mention that by buying a physically bigger monitor (27" for example) with the same resolution as a smaller one (22" for example) you are not getting any more real estate.

On the other hand a higher resolution is more taxing on your system and you would see lower frame rate on it. I hope I'm not making your choice even harder.

Do you think That my system would be able to play newer games on high or Vhigh on 1440p
Asus Geforce GTX 970 Strix 4GB, I7 4790K "Devils Canyon", Msi Z97
Gaming 5, Corsair Hydro H110, Corsair Rm 650w Gold+, NZXT H440, Kingston HyperX
2 x 4GB 2400mhz.

Hey,

you've got a very solid system there. I you haven't already you can also overclock your CPU in case you need some more juice.

Look at the performance of your card at 1440 p below.

And here you can see a 1440 p benchmark results of Shadow of Mordor with mixed High+Ultra settings with a worse CPU and slower GPU. They get an average of 55 FPS so I can imagine you can easily get 60+

Problem with PC gaming is the never ending upgrades.

I for one would love to get the http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-070-AS as I am so used to higher than 60 Hz and just don't want to go back.

But getting this monitor would be pointless if my GPU can't drive it at at least 100 FPS which would mean I'll have to get a 2x GTX 970 and SLI them or find a similar solution. And all this piles up to a huge amount of money I just can't afford to spend.
