Hey, I'm building a new pc and i already have the power supply and graphic card bought. they are all compatible together. My limit is 500-700 bucks and this is what i came up with. you are using non"K" CPU there... so I think your mobo is too much for you and I would prefer i5 6500 istead of i5 6600 (non "K") its more cheaper good performance, and using H170 or B150 chipset mobo is enough.

you are using non"K" CPU there... so I think your mobo is too much for you and I would prefer i5 6500 istead of i5 6600 (non "K") its more cheaper good performance, and using H170 or B150 chipset mobo is enough.

I chose a well appointed motehrboard with the build. I have all of my SATA ports filled(6). There are many other advantages to the first motherboard such as more USB connections. should you only need a few(4) SATA connectors and less USB connectors and have less bling on the motherboard

I would sell the 260X. It's just not on par with the 6600. I'd then purchase the 6GB 1060 Gigabyte Windforce. I'd also bump the RAM up to 16GB. Buy a kit now and you'll know they will work together. Buy 8 more GB in a year or two???.

THe build on its own is a bit lopsided in the CPU's favor.

I was gonna get a better cpu now and then upgarde the video card and add 1x8 8gb ram when i have the extra money. i just wanna try to start with a good foundation and something i can upgrade

Remember that is a dual channel board. The RAM modules are supposed to be installed in multiples of 2(dual). You are asking for problems if you treat the board like a single/triple channel board.

I chose a well appointed motehrboard with the build. I have all of my SATA ports filled(6). There are many other advantages to the first motherboard such as more USB connections. should you only need a few(4) SATA connectors and less USB connectors and have less bling on the motherboard

And I just saw the PSU and GFX card were already in hand. My apologies. Please disregard my offering.

I would sell the 260X. It's just not on par with the 6600. I'd then purchase the 6GB 1060 Gigabyte Windforce. I'd also bump the RAM up to 16GB. Buy a kit now and you'll know they will work together. Buy 8 more GB in a year or two???.

THe build on its own is a bit lopsided in the CPU's favor.

I was gonna get a better cpu now and then upgarde the video card and add 1x8 8gb ram when i have the extra money. i just wanna try to start with a good foundation and something i can upgrade

Remember that is a dual channel board. The RAM modules are supposed to be installed in multiples of 2(dual). You are asking for problems if you treat the board like a single/triple channel board.

I get the 6600 choice now. Good plan.
