Need help with a older 120hz monitor

Hey guy I've just grabbed a acer hn274h it's a older model released in 2011. It says it's 120hz capable but I can't get that working, I purchased a display port to hdmi cable yesterday thinking that would work but it's only 60hz. Ive checked the manual doesn't say much about 120hz just wondering if I use a dvi-d cable if I'll get the 120. But next question is my graphics card only has 1 dvi-d output will this stop me from getting 120hz? Thanks guys

You gotta use DVI-D, HDMI on many older high refresh rate monitors doesn't actually support high refresh rates.
