[SOLVED] Need help with a PC build

Hi guys , i'm currently saving for a new pc and i would like to hear your opinion

I'm looking for a PC that can run my games at 144 Fps since i have a 144 hz screen

I already have a Gtx 1070 so now i'm looking for a cpu and motherboard that wont bottleneck my system.

I mostly play games like Fortnite, Battlefield , Witcher and at the moment my system is running it at 130 frames but has huge drops and isn't smooth gameplay at all.

Current Specs:
Gtx 1070 8G
16 Gig ddr3 2666mhz ram
i5 3330 3ghz Cpu

I was thinking of upgrading to a ryzen 1600x with ddr4 3000mhz ram
do you guys think i'll be able to run my games on 144fps without any huge drops?

You'd really need to look at the Ryzen 3000 series to have the higher framerates you have in mind.

How much would you be willing to spend on an upgrade? That'll give resident builders something to work with and advise properly.

thanks alot i also thought the 2600 should i spend the extra buck for the 2600x or is it not worth it?

Generally speaking the X models aren't really worth it. The CPUs should boost to about the same levels if overclocking.

This would be a substantial upgrade over what you have now and fit well into your budget. Just remember, since your replacing the motherboard that you do a clean install of Windows.

To make sure the CPU will work with the motherboard you'll need to update the BIOS. Fortunately MSI has a feature that allows you to update the BIOS without the CPU.
