Hi All,

I'm looking to build my own PC in the next coming weeks, this will mainly be used for gaming, streaming, photo, and video editing/rendering.
I have pretty good hardware knowledge and have picked out a few parts at the moment, but would like a second pair of eyes and opinions on the build!
See planned build below:

I would also like to add that I would like to keep this to some sort of theme with RGB to as many pieces of hardware as possible, if I can get this all to the same colour scheme that would be fantastic as it will be the centrepiece on my desk.

Any help is much appreciated.

Solution
You should use pcpartpicker, it helps organize your parts and gives compatibility choices. What GPU did you choose? Quad-channel RAM does not give too much of a performance difference over dual channel to warrant a price difference that big, but if you are going for aesthetics, that is a different matter. The Asus PSU's are generally over priced, but I see you are trying for an RGB build. PSUs are usually hidden so you can save costs by going with the Corsair instead if you like.

From your parts, I am going to guess you have a budget around 1800 to 2000 pounds.

Here are 2 builds, one AMD the other Intel.

Both SSD's here are NVME, so there should be faster read and write speeds. I have made as many parts RGB, except the PSU because it would be behind the shroud anyway.

i9 9900k here. You can probably step it up to the 10th gen if you want.

Do note that I replaced the x72 with the z73 AIO because it should give you more customization but you can step it back down to the x72 to save costs if you are fine with the customization the x72 provides.
