Hi, i have a problem with a Seagate ST3000NM0005, it starts spining for some seconds, heads starts working and suddenly spin motor stops and it´s never recognized by the motherboard. The HDD PCB model is 100760706 REVA, I have one similar from another HDD with heads problems so I am thinking to test it in the ST3000NM0005 but i can´t recongnize the ROM chip to transferig it to the spare control board PCB.
Please, Help!

The image isn't much clearer than a thumbnail. I can't make out the ROM, but I would examine the markings on the 8-pin IC at the top left corner of the MCU. The component at the bottom right corner appears to be a crystal, but I can't be sure.
