Only received it yesterday, I installed it last night to test it etc, literally just a swap from sli 780s to this, firstly during arma 3 there was red static and then a black screen.... Then I reinstalled the card, tried both slots etc checked all the connections and everything was in place. Same again but with a buzzing sound with the red dots this time.

Then a third time the red dots didn't appear but after quitting arma 3 (in which everything ran fine in 4k) the screen went black and the output was lost totally.

I had deleted all drivers etc and reinstalled fresh. My system was more than compatible:

-Win 10 64 bit.

-Intel Core i7 4770K (oc'd to 4.3Ghz).

-Corsair H100i Extreme water cooler.

-Gigabyte Z87X UD4H.

-16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro (2x8GB).

-SSD 128GB M5S.

-2TB S-ATAIII 6.0Gb/s.

-1050W Corsair HX modular PSU.

Spoke to tech support and they think it's a faulty card, but others on reddit etc have suggested it's my PSU or CPU? But with the 780s back in the case everything works fine again so I'm really confused?

All of my components are up to date with the latest BIOS, drivers etc....

Solution
as silly as it sounds, i've just changed the hdmi cable to the one from my ps4, switched the refresh rate on the tv to 59hz and turned vsync off on nvidia cp and it now works fine...not sure how to go from here lol
Well, you could just run furmark (GPU stress-test software) for an hour and see if you get full-blown artifacts as a result, in which case it would definitely be a faulty card and you'd send it back. Might sound crazy but the logic behind this is: if it's going to fail due to a fault you're better off having it happen now while under warranty than later...

Otherwise it could be your monitor or cables, but if the SLI setup works fine that's probably unlikely. Maybe monitor the temperature of the card in-game and see if it correlates to the artifacts?

Cheers for the reply. I should've been clearer in the OP, sorry I typed it up quickly whilst at work!

Basically the red dots only happened a couple of times and once i reinstalled the card and ensured it was all connected that stopped totally. It was a good couple of hours of playing games later that the the black flickering screen (black screen for a few seconds and then back to normal) would start, but minus the red static and buzzing noise this time.

However now when it happens, the screen goes black but then it doesn't come back, the signal just goes totally and my TV shows a blank channel.....

Any ideas?

Yeah they've offered to replace or refund it, I do want to try another card but I'm just worried that if i get another one and the same thing happens, meaning it IS something to do with my system, that they then won't refund me?

£1,099 isn't something I'm wanting to muck about with lol

Try to test everything else (cables, monitor...) and if everything else seems fine send the card back. Nothing else you can do, unless you can put the card in a friend's PC and see if it has the same problem?

do you guys think it could be a driver thing? once the card was secured properly the red dots disappeared but the screen just flickered black and then lost output. Reading this has happened sometimes on older drivers? Also heard about turning off vsync and playing with the power management settings?

I'm assuming this card came directly from Nvidia? If so just send it back for a replacement. Nothing that you are talking about sounds normal.

I'd see what it does now, if it's working properly for a full day or a few gaming sessions or you could err on the side of caution and just rma it. I mean you can rma it later if it acts up again. BTW, nice card, it's tempting to pick up that performance on one card...just the price is a little meh lol

Literally used it all weekend, 4k, 60fps gaming on gears of war 4, forza horizon 3, hitman, doom, arma 3, absolutely perfect now! Honestly so amazed by it. Might SLI it at a later date if the price reduces in a year or two.
