Need help with antivirus

Whats a fair reliable antivirus program i can get that is not expensive for my computer

avast / avg / bitdefender = all free

though my memory of test results are old, this is what i recall:

detection: bitdefender > avast > avg
package (everything other than the av itself): avg > avast > bitdefender
ease of use without friggin ads: avast > bitdefender > avg

i use avast. i maybe bias, but it dont spam me like avg, and i find it has a lot more to offer than bitdefender.

As well as using an anti-virus program, implement other measures to protect yourself. For example:

1. Restrict what other users can do.
2. Take regular backups of your data including a system image.
3. Hide your SSID and use WPA2 with a complex key.

in my experience, it detects better.

I also need an internet security software. This will work out well in providing complete security or I need some more or expensive products?

Avast is the most complete because it has the most functions for a free version. For complet protection you will need something besides them like comodo firewall, voodooshield, secureaplus.
