Need help with ATI x1600 and Omega drivers/ATI traytools

I'm using ATI tray tools v.1.2.6.964. I was wondering what I could do with this to boost performance if possible. For instance, under General options - Advanced, the overclocking limits are set to 50%. Is this recommended?
Plus, should I consider using the traytools overclocking configuration and what is a good setting?

I think it would be safer/better to overclock manually, perhaps with ATI Tool.

Ati Tool isn't the same as ATI traytools?
