I'm planning on buying a ryzen 9 5900x and upgrading from my ryzen 7 3700x. When checking all the parts I saw it said that I had to make sure my Bios version was P2.30 when currently I am at P2.70.
Do I have to somehow downgrade it to p.30? This may be a dumb question but the only I have experience I have with PCs is installing 2 more sticks of RAM.
(Yes I am planning on upgrading my CPU Cooler when I get my new CPU. If there is anything else you recommend I upgrade when I get my new CPU please do comment. Budget spent ~2300$, Budget left to spend 1500$)

Current Specs:
GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3070 8 GB VENTUS 2X OC Video Card
CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x
CPU Cooler: GAMDIAS CHOINE E1A 120R 120mm All-in-One Water Cooler
RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200MHZ Oloy Owl.
Motherboard: B450M/ac R2.0
Case: Thermaltake V250 TG ARGB ATX Mid Tower Case
PSU: Corsair RM (2019) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

No. You do not need to downgrade the BIOS version. If you're at version P2.30 or later (P2.70 is later that P2.30), you are ready to install the Ryzen 9 5900X without any further updates.

Thank you! this is my first PC I've had a laptop for 8 years! Really appreciate it. Take care.
ALSO! Do you know a safe away to install a Ryzen 9?

Use no pressure when installing the CPU into the CPU Socket. It should easily slip into the CPU Socket.
Make sure you align the CPU into the socket correctly (there should be an arrow pointing the correct orientation).
When installing the CPU cooler, alternate installing the CPU cooler pins (opposite corners).
