Need help with BIOS update

So i have some troubles with updating the BIOS and cannot figure out why it isn't working or how to do it.

HP Pro 3130 minitower-pc is the pc
BIOS version 6.14 installed, 6.16 is the latest and downloaded.

but the problem is that the 6.16 version is in an .exe file and it won't let me execute it. even uploading it to an usb won't work.

what am i doing wrong?

did you try right clicking exe file and running as admin?

installation instructions (from web site of HP)
1. Download the file by clicking the "Download" or "Obtain Software" button and saving the file to a folder on your hard drive (make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved).

2. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

hey there, was looking further and the problem was that i had to log in as an administrator xD.

windows didn't let me execute the file as an specific user for some reason.

but bios has been updated.
