So i think my pc got a sata controller failure, everytime i plug any hard drive into it, It wont work, fans spinning but no video output at all. After unplugging every sata it work again, it post and i can get into the bios. I want to update the bios hoping it will fix the problem. But on the website it says "asrock does not recommend update bios if pinnacle, raven ridge, or summit ridge is being used on your system" So what will happen if i update the bios, does updating bios will make it completely unusabre because doesnt support my cpu anymore?
i just recently installed a fresh windows by the way.

mobo : asrock b450m hdv rev4
bios ver : 3.70
cpu : ryzen 3 3100

Your CPU is a ZEN 2 based processor so the codename is Matisse , the bios note should not bother you at all. I tried a 3rd GEN Ryzen bios once with a 1st GEN Ryzen CPU on a Gigabyte motherboard and i had multiple problems including lower performance (fps drops) in games but the CPU would work. So the PC will be useable but problems may occur thats why they don't recommend it.
