(Budget buy)
Okay I need help buying a new card, my old card was a big mistake and I would rather not do the mistake of trying to buy one without the help of good people who know what they are doing :p
The last card that I bought was a 550 Ti and for the price it was way under powered and I was very disappointed but it was an upgrade from my last so I did not decide to take it back. Well now it is time to upgrade a small amount I would like to have an answer before tomorrow ends because of all the good black Friday sales tomorrow and today. Try to give me the best card for the money as I would love to have something that I can say that I got a good deal for.

PPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Tomorrow
BUDGET RANGE: (USD $200 Give or Take $15) (cheaper is not better if one for $185 is not quite as good as one for $215 but is almost just the same, go ahead and recommend the $215 one and the cheaper one. I just want to be able to play games that I never could before or have a better experience with the ones that I can)

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: (I play a lot of FPS games)

CURRENT PARTS: [GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 550TI]
[PSU: XFX 750w]
[Motherboard: Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3]

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: [8gb Ram]

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: [newegg.com, ncix.com, tigerdirect.com] USA

PARTS PREFERENCES: [No preferred card brand/make]

OVERCLOCKING: [Maybe]
SLI OR CROSSFIRE: [Maybe later]

MONITOR RESOLUTION: [1920x1080]

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: [I am going to but a CPU liquid cooler too but that has nothing to do with my current budget, would like some advice for cheap but good coolers] [I have FX-8350]

A BIG BIG thank you to all who can help me. <3 for me not being stupid this time and trying to buy a card by myself haha.
[I myself thinking of either a GTX 580 (but had a very low core clock of 772 so I did not know if this was really bad or not) or a Radeon HD 7870 but please do recommend some more if these are bad choices!]

Solution
Looks like we're both in the same boat, but Im upgrading from a GTX 260 lol. From what I've READ the HD 7870's are good for the price. Im also looking at the 7850. They are very close neck in benchmarks. Can get the 7850 2gb for 99$ right now with rebates on newegg. 7870 for 129$ after rebate. I guess Im just bouncing the same thoughts as to what Im considering getting, and thus may not be a huge help. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html is helpful though. Looking at that alone the 550 ti ranks in at #81 (1928 passmark score) The 7850 ranks at #31 (3706 passmark score) and the 7870 ranks at #22 (4253 passmark score). That being said it SEEMS even the 7850 would be a remarkable upgrade. If you have a bigger...

If you have a bigger budget that I which you say you do you could roll out the Radeon R9 270X which is #19 (4390 passmark score) but that's TO ME not worth the extra near 70$ price jump vs apparent performance. Hope I helped at least some lol. Im gonna keep an eye on your post because like I said Im sorta looking for the same answer you are =)
