Hey, I'm working on building a computer which I'll use for gaming. The games I would like to play are Fortnite, CS:GO, etc. And I want to be able to run Virtual Reality Games on my HTC Vive. I also plan on doing school work on it. I am tired of running games on my mac (which my dad bought when I asked him for a gaming computer)
Need a monitor: Yes
Need a Powerful Processor: Yes
Need a mouse: No
Need a keyboard: No
Budget is under 1500, preferably closer to 1000.
If you could help that would be great. Thanks!

psu is no good, x470 is unnecessary and expensive, 3200 ram is better, case can be cheaper, no ssd? For ~1200, this is a better performing build with 1070 and 144hz monitor:
