[SOLVED] Need Help with buying new PC

Hello, I am buying new pc from a custom builder since I can't build it myself.

I am going to use i9 9900k processor, RTX 2080 TI graphics card, Asus Strix or Maximus X Hero motherboard, 16GB (or 32GB if its worth it) Ram, 500GB SSD and 4GB (or around that) HDD.

I have been told the i9 9900k gets very hot so I decided on using a Noctua NH D15 cooler.

I am unsure what psu to use.

Now, I have looked at Overclockers, Scan. Ukgamingcomputers and Chillblast. Only Chillblast sell the NH D15 in custom builds so I am going with them. They currently have a 7% off deal for custom builds so I need to order it today.

My main issue is which case shall I get? and is this build a good build? Chillblast offer extra fans for more money but I don't know how much improvement these will have or which case to use to have the best airflow for a Noctua NH D15.

My room can get very hot in summer so I need to make sure my pc is as cool as can be.

Around £3000 is my budget.

I made this pc so far with 7% off it falls roughly to my £3000 budget

but again I don't know what case to use, if you could take a look at chillblast for me and help me out I would be very thankful.

Go with water cooling. Your already building a super high end build. 4GB HDD a typo? Did you mean to say 4TB? The PSU you chose will do the job easily.

The I7-9900K should be better than the I7-8700K at conducting heat to the CPU cooler. The 9000 series processors are using solder instead of thermal paste. The temperature was tested in the Tom's review.

Talk to the builder about your choice of cooler. The Noctua NH-D15 is a good choice if there is room in the case. Otherwise you can use an all-in-one like a Corsair H115i or H150i. Or a custom water cooling loop is a possibility too.

Edit: The Noctua NH-D15 will probably work for you. But it probably isn't the best choice. The Corsair H110i isn't a good idea either. If you are going to use an all-in-one cooler, I would recommend those with the larger 360mm radiator .

is the thermal paste that comes with Noctua good or shall I add like arctic silver, does it matter?

It is fine. I've used it for years. I have the NH-D14 in one of my PCs. I haven't run across any Noctua product that wasn't top notch. I have recommended their fans and CPU coolers many many times.

Check the specifications for the case. They generally list the the specification for supported CPU cooler tower height. The Noctua NH-D15 requires 165mm of room in the case.
