Hey guys, I have always been an xbox gamer and recently have wanted to get into pc gaming. I'm looking into building a rig and know somewhat about hardware but could use some help before blowing money, I just need to know if what I have picked is compatible and what else I should buy that would be compatible. I am currently looking at a:
--Corsair Obsidian 350d mATX (Case)
--ASUS MAXIMUS VI GENE LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard (Motherboard)
--Vengeance 4GB dual channel DDR3 memory (Ram)
--AX760 ATX (PSU)

So now I need to choose a CPU and GPU, I'm looking to spend around 150-200$ per item. I like to game but don't need the HIGHEST end graphics card..

thanks guys!

Solution
There's no need to get a motherboard that expensive.

You could give us your budget and we could come up with a recommendation for a whole build? :)

The PSU and the two Mobos

Look down the page, the post by Dino22, it's an official fix from Gigabyte to make the PSU compatible with the mobos. It's a resistor that causes it

I popped that damn graphite micro resistor myself and fixed it :p

Yeah I was just looking at that motherboard because it had the color scheme that I wanted and also had plenty of ports, if you can find a motherboard that is intel and red/black color scheme for cheap that'd be great. I only plan on one PCIe slot and I want 4 DDR3 ram slots, besides that i think that's it. As far as budget goes, I'd like to keep the whole build under 1,000$
