Hey, well I build my new rig in June 2015 and I was playing a game off csgo and my computer froze so I turned of my rig from the power supply. When I went to turn it back on.. It was stuck at the gigabyte splashscreen for about 3-5 minutes and then it's a black background with a flashing white underscore than if you keep it there it goes to a new screen saying "Reboot and select proper boot device" i have access to the bios/boot options and it is recognizing my ssd and my other hard drive but it's not booting from it.. Can anyone help please? Thank you

EDIT: I even downloaded Windows 8.1 on a usb and tried to boot from that and did the same thing it did with the ssd..

Hi Nickk and welcome to the community! :)

Try the SSD with a different SATA port and cables, to see if the same thing happens. It would be even better if you could try it with a different computer either externally (via a SATA to USB adapter, external enclosure, or a docking station), or internally via a standard SATA connection. If you do that and the SSD is recognized, go ahead and backup any important files, which you might have on it. After that download an SSD diagnostic tool and run the tests on the drive, to see if any errors pop-up.
Other than that, you could try resetting the BIOS/UEFI of your computer, to see if that fixes things up.

Hope that helps. Please let me know how everything goes.
