Hi, I have recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit,and I have several problems listed below:

1. My games are lagging like crazy, can't move the character, even the older games like CS 1.6, Half-Life 2, Tomb Raider Legend, Sims 2...

2. When I had aero effects on, some random pieces of open windows and taskbar flickering, but removed when I put the Windows 7 Basic theme on.

So I was wondering, is this because of the driver, because everything was working fine when I had XP installed, and is there a way to fix it???

P.S. I have chatted with an NVIDIA support technician, and he said that I perform a clean installation of the driver, which I did, but nothing still.

Here is my configuration:

AMD Sempron 2600+ 1.61 GHz
1GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 7600GS
MSI K8MM3-V

Solution
:hello: Hello xxDrKleinerx

i may have a solution for both your problems.

your games will lag because you have a AMD Sempron at 1.6ghz and 1gb ram. End of =).
As for the flickering desktop id say change the refresh rate of your moniter, "right click desktop, resolution, advanced settings, moniter."
If your refesh rate is on 60hz, change to 75hz and vice versa.

P.S. If you are able to overclock your cpu id highly recomend it, and do the same with your GPU, id also recomend installing atleast another 1gb of ram

AMD Phenom ii x6 1090t 3.8Ghz
8GB kingston hyperx @ 1066
Nvidia GTX 480 2GB Palit

Solution
uninstall the driver then run something like driver sweeper or driver cleaner to remove leftover bits then re install the driver

also 1gb of ram is a bit low for running windows 7 once you have games and stuff installed--i would recommend at least another 1gb of ram
