Need help with dual monitors

I have been looking into getting dual monitors for my set up but when i looked at my graphic card ports i have only 1 vga but on my motherboard i have another and I was wondering if I could use that for dual monitors

Someone correct me if I am wrong but you can't use your motherboards VGA if you use your graphics cards VGA on an other screen already.

You could buy an cheap GPU that has 2 outputs.
