Need help with finding a new mobo for my i5-6600k

I got this cpu few years ago and didn't really have enough money for a motherboard back then. Now i saved enough money to upgrade, but not sure which motherboard should I go for. My budget is anything under $200. If possible I would like it to be around $150. Would it be better to get a z170 or z270.

Really can't go wrong with either.

Without any other information, pick out any you like with the appropriate chipset.

Size? ATX/MicroATX/ITX
Color? RGB?
Features?

Most motherboards you are after are going to be around $150, I would avoid Z boards that are closer to $100 as they generally don't have as good of an audio processor.

I prefer atx and rgb would be nice. I would need usb 3.1 and and at least 4 sata ports and one m.2 slot. if possible I want it in black and red.

(6600K in October of 2018? Really? 4c/4t is about dead....)

Due to the CPU age I would suggest going lower cost Z270 and this one has everything you requested.

Yea, I know it is sorta old. What should I go for if i plan to do a full cpu and mobo upgrade. Since I saved up some money now I can actually buy something like this 😛
