I'm looking at rebuilding my desktop and could use some feedback on parts. This is technically my second build (1st was 2012), but first time actually choosing the components.
I'm aiming for a mid-level gaming computer (1080p) with possibility for some upgrade potentional in future (ie. next series Ryzen cpu/better GPU). Target cost is $500 range, although current selected is around $650 (ok if I really like it, but want to stay under $700)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6 GHz 6-Core processor ($125)
Motherboard: ASRock B450M PRO4 Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard ($79)
Memory: G.Skill Aegis 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($55)
Hard Drive 1 (for operating system/booting): Crucial MX500 250 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($43)
Hard Drive 2 (for main storage): Western Digital Blue 2 TB 3.5" 5400 RPM ($50)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon RX 570 4 GB Pulse Video Card ($124)
Power Supply: EVGA BR 500 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($52)
Case: BitFenix Enso Mesh ATX Mid Tower Case ($85)
Operating System: Windows 10 Educational ($15 through work)
I'm fairly comfortable with the CPU choice. I could really use some advice on the motherboard and video card as I know little about those. In the motherboard, I'm looking for: reliability, future CPU upgrade possibility, connections needed, and RGB. Video Card: I really don't know much about these at all :/
Thanks in advance for any feedback!
