So, I want to put together a rig that can run most games on high/ultra with relative ease. I play a lot of WoW/SC2/Diablo/Skyrim/GW2.

This will be my first time building a PC, so I'm kind of hesitant of getting the parts and trying to do this myself - I honestly have no idea how everything fits within the case, heh.

Here is the current build I'm working with on paper; if anyone notices replacement parts that would be cheaper, but still maintain a higher-end gaming experience, I'd love the help! <3

I'd prefer using Radeon HD 7950 3GB, but it's very expensive. Is there a video card in-between this one and the other I listed further above that would better streamline FPS?

Are all these parts compatible? Also, is Windows 8 worth getting over 7? I've heard a lot of people don't like it, though I haven't tried it myself...

Thanks everyone!

If I may, using an AMD video card means no phyx and missing / late drivers... I just bought virtually the same system you did... still have the SSD / HHD & Ram to Ram to ship, but but I went with the EVGA GTX 660 and if I had the cash I'd go with the 670, but know that the 660 is a beast of a card. You wouldn't need anything else. However......>

I have two questions... 1. What is the screen resolution you plan on playing with and 2. What's your rig budget / gpu budget?

The case in your list above goes for almost $90.... why not go for a more inexpensive case. I chose the Haf 912 F#$%'n love this case! No fancy side panel and no lights, but seriously..... is this a budget build and how / what are your priorities? The Haf 912 is approximately have the cost and you could add the savings to your video card. Thats if you want a GTX 670 or maybe a GTX 660 TI.

I would recommend GA-Z77-D3H over the E4. It uses much higher quality phases than the crappy 4 phase D-pak phase design on the E4.
Try grabbing Samsung's 30nm 2x4GB RAM, it's out of stock everywhere. If you find some grab it ASAP.

The Sapphire 7870 XT performs better than the 660 Ti and it's about $260. It uses Tahiti architecture so it performs almost as well as a 7970 when you overclock it. Keplers aren't so great for lots of AA, if your only using 2x or 4x, then go with the 660 Ti / 670.

..and please choose a better case. The Nanoxia DS1 is coming soon. Antec's 1100 has incredible stock cooling. Corsair has the 300r / 200r. Really any modern case is better than that ugly thing...
