Cause any of those cards will be a waste for that resolution, even a 650 gtx non ti will do for 1024x768

It will run skyrim 1080p maxout at ~60 fps even with mods, yes you'll be able to run any game @1080p with high settings.
An i5 ivybridge and 670 gtx, you couldn't get any better.
