Need Help With Gigabyte Mobo and AMD Ath64 Combo!!!

Need some help here, I just got a Gigabyte S series GA-M55SLI-S4 Board, with a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Duel Core 4200+. Iam trying to overclock it, but having trouble with the MB Intelligent Tweaker (M.I.T.). Ive read a bunch of other posts with no prevail. Ive found a couple that I thought would help but when I tweak it all it does drop my processor speed. Please help, Ive run out of options.

overclocking is overrated anyway.

But, the above poster is porbably rite, try replacing the northbridge cooler. Or be radical and go into the bios and force it to OC. Wouldnt recommend that without checking cooling first tho.
