Question Need help with laptop fan voltage

Hi everyone!

I have ROG G531GD laptop and I want to replace the fans, however I have a hard time finding the replacement fans with the same model. In the end, I bought a similar fan with the same shape, it fits just fine but then I realized that the replacement fans I bought is rated 12V - 1A while my original laptop fan is only 5v - 0.5A , will that be a problem?

Yes its a problem. please get the correct fan. this one will spin too slow, possibly stall and overheat the system at 5v.
