Need help with laptop purchase: graphic design and heavy multitasking are key.

Hello, I am seeking the best laptop possible to meet my divergent needs.

-- I am a heavy business user with many apps open at once (MS Office, Acrobat, Firefox etc)
-- I am a professional-level graphic designer (Adobe Photoshop, Illustration, In Design etc)
-- I am extremely mobile and would like something that is lighter weight.
-- It would be great if I could get something that didn't look boring and clunky.

One more thing, I would love for this to be a high res touchscreen! I hope I'm not asking for too much!

I am more concerned about getting something that works than I am cost, I have been so frustrated with my current sys, I think it may be worth my sanity.
Do you prefer any specific manufacturer or OS?
I used to have a Viao, then I switch to Apple last year, I am ready to switch back and I have been looking at Asus and Toshiba, but I am open.
Is 3D rendering part of your professional designing?
Not really.

I should also say, I would love a touchscreen with appropriate resolution for my design work.
