Hey all,

So I only had about 100GB of space left and I needed more and noticed that their was a D: that had nothing in it so I deleted it and tried to extend it, which was grayed out and I understand it because its contiguous.

I'm pretty sure that there is only 1 Hard Drive in this laptop (1GB) its an Alienware 18. When I pop up Device Manager I see under Disk Drives
Intel Raid 0 Volume
SK yhnix SH920 mSATA 256GB

I have the professional version of MiniTool Partition Wizard but since the drives are separated by one being Disk 1 and the other being Disk 2, that I'm not sure how to increase the C drive with this utility and have been at this for a few hours now trying to google the answer.

Could anybody shed some light on what I need to do. I'm pretty sure Dell/Alienware made some kind of recovery in that D partition but when I looked further into its details it only said that is was DATA but I tried to factory reset and I got Winload.exe blue screen error. So now that I think I've screwed up the recovery, I might as well make this HDD 1 whole drive ya?.

Thanks much.

Sh*t. Ok I thought it was kindof odd that my C: Drive was only 704GB I didn't think there was any hard drives around that increment. Many thanks I'll just get Dell to repair it.

Another quick question. Since this was setup as RAID, Intel Rapid Boost is enabled now every time I restart I get an error from it. Is there anyway to disable (not uninstall) this program for now until I get it fixed?.

Sorry to get back to this thread so late, went on vacation. I went ahead and ordered new SSD/HDD drives and went ahead and just opened this thing up to add my own. Basically Dell/Alienware setup was 2, 2.5' 256GB SSD drives and a 256GB mSATA Drive in a RAID setup then they have another 256GB SSD as Recovery.

This is why I was only getting 704GB on my C: Drive and why there was another Disk (D) that wasn't RAID used as Recovery. Far stretch from the 1TB of SSD space I had ordered. Seems they cut some corners.

Now that I have it starting to be setup like it should be with a proper 1, SSD 1TB and some extra drives. I'm using that "D" drive that I wiped as recovery again and more storage on the mSATA and extra HDD slot.
