Need help with mobo

i have a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 motherboard. i wanted to kno if i could put a good gpu.
so i wanted to put a XFX radeon HD 7870

It's a little older motherboard, and supports only PCIe 2.0, but that's still plenty fast enough and you should definitely be able to support that Radeon HD 7870 in it. Make sure you have an adequate power supply.
