I have the mattexx 55 with 3 rgb fans the fans have to be plugged into a molex connector but I cannot get the molex connector to go all the way down I'm wondering if it's necessary to push it all the way down or if I can boot it as long as it's tight enough I don't want to blow anything up

Solution
Right. BUT if you look at the second of the images you posted earlier, it is NOT seated up to that point on one side. It is only seated to that point on the side where there are no pins, not on the side where there are pins.

IF it IS actually seating, on the side that has pins, up to the point where there is a stop on the sides of the connector as you have realized, then yes, it is fully seated. In that earlier picture though it does not appear to be. If it is, then it is good.
One of the pins probably is just slightly cocked in the connector. Try pulling it back apart, and check the pins and female sockets to verify nothing is bent or damaged. Make sure you have the two halves of the connector keyed correctly. By that, I mean so that the shape of the male half exactly fits and is lined up with the shape of the female half of the connector.

Then, slowly fit the two halves together again while gently wiggling the halves so that if there is any misalignment of the pin to socket it can get the chance to "slip" past that and fit into the receiver correctly.

If you are unsure whether anything is wrong with the connectors, then take pictures of both halves and post the images here as outlined in this guide.

I know all three of the fans are plugged in and then it goes to that connector I'm not really sure if I should Boot it or not the way it is also if I do turn it on and it's not all the way in would it blow or catch fire ?

I'm not going to say either way, because honestly, the pins in the one half do not look like they are designed to fit into the receivers on the other half. It might just be the picture making them look that way though. The two male pins in the female half of the plug seem like they are shaped, while the hollow receiver pins in the other half are round. Can you verify, is that just a trick of the light or the picture itself?

Clearly they both SEEM to be molex, but looking at that picture (The second one) I have to disagree with Karadjgne, it does not look to me like that half that has pins, is actually seated. As I said earlier, you should try wiggling it side to side lightly while also lightly attempting to further seat the two halves, IF you can verify that there is not a disparity in the shape of the pins to the receivers. It might also be that it IS fully seated, on the side with the pins, and just LOOKS like it's not, because the side without pins is able to push in just that little bit further because there is nothing there on that side of the connector.

It's very hard to say without being there. It's very doubtful you could harm anything by it not being fully seated. Try what I said, and then try it. Worst thing that could happen is that it doesn't power up or powers up intermittently and flickers or some such thing.
