Question Need help with mounting bracket

So I'm trying to install this cooler for my mother, a pump. It's a master liquid LC120E, but the bracket I bought to put it on is too big, I bought a "AMD CPU Fan Bracket Base for AM2 AM2+ AM3 AM3+ FM1 socket (3pcs version for Newer Motherboard)" from amazon. I thought that these brackets were practically universal long as u had the slot right (in this case AM3+) but the bracket is a bit too big and I can't put it onto the motherboard. Can some1 help me out? Didnt know there were different sized brackets
