I have recently got a new 1060 6gb graphics card :). However when i went to install it i could not i plugged it in and turned on my pc and it said plug in the power connectors (a 2×4 pin connector) but i only seem to have one on my power supply. Do i need to buy a more recent psu (mine is old). If so i was looking at the EVGA - 600W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply. Will this be sufficient?

What is the make/model of your new GTX1060?
What is the make/model of your psu and motherboard?

Some overclocked gtx1060 versions need more than a single aux 6 pin pcie connector from the psu.
The EVGA GTX1060FTW for example needs such a 8 pin connector.
The kit may well include a 6 pin to 8 pin adapter cable.
A motherboard may have a 4 or 8 pin aux cpu power connector which is possible what I think the 2 x 4 message is about.
Most of the time a motherboard is ok without the connector plugged in.
The aux cpu connector is used to provide added power for overclocking or to power pcie graphics slots.
