Need help with my new laptop

Hello Tom's Hardware community. I recently purchased a new gaming laptop on amazon, and I need help fixing a wifi issue. When i connect my laptop to my friends secured connection, its fine and it works. But when I go to the library, and try to use to unsecured wifi, something strange happens. It will identify the network and allow me to connect. But then when I'm on the page that asks me to accept the terms of using their wifi and I click accept, my laptop then displays the http 405 error page saying "Microsoft edge can't find this page," rather than allowing me access. Its a strange issue and your guys help would be much appreciated. Thank you. (Its a windows 8 laptop by the way)
