Need help with my old cpu

I have a Intel i3 3220 Ivy bridge processor along with a gtx 1050 with 8gb of ram. I saw people playing BF1 with a fps of around 60-65 with PC which were like worse than mine. They were using some gtx 550 and still getting decent fps while I couldn't even play on 30fps low it keeps dipping to low 10-20 fps I saw YouTube videos of this website said people here are really good I need some help with this issue. Not planning to upgrade my PC.

What specs did they exactly have? Also what resolution were they playing BF1 at?

GTX 1050 is way faster than an RX 550. They are probably getting better performance because they are using better processors than yours. Core i3 is not a good CPU for gaming especially heavy gaming like BF1. The processor will limit you around 27FPS and getting a better graphics card won't help smooth things out. If they are using Core i7 processors from 2nd or 1st generation they will still beat your Core i3 in games handily.

If you don't want to upgrade your PC completely I recommend upgrading to a CPU like the 3770k. It would work with your system and would double your FPS.
