Hi,

this is my first pc build and i want some help

i will be getting the following components:-

1-(CPU) AMD Athlon X4 860K Black Edition (3.7GHz base 4GHz boost)
http://www.amazon.com/AMD-Athlon-Edition-3700Mhz-AD860KXBJABOX/dp/B00MU00IOQ

2-(GPU) Sapphire Radeon NITRO R9 380 4GB
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016LE95TK?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

3-(Motherboard) ASUS A-A88XM

4-(PSU) EVGA 500 W1 80+, 500W
http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Continuous-Warranty-Supply-100-W1-0500-KR/dp/B00H33SFJU/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1450714863&sr=1-1

I am planing to play at 1024x769
I know it's a weird resolution but i have a tv instead of pc monitor

1-will my CPU bottleneck the GPU?

2-will the Power supply be enough?

3-i am planing to do some CPU over clocking but nothing too crazy so would my motherboard be ok with that?

4-do you think that it's a good budget build for gaming?

5-do you think that i should swap the GPU with the Gigabyte GTX 960 oc

Thanks.

Solution
your build is a good one!

cpu will not bottleneck the gpu.

power supply is plenty

mobo will allow overclocking from 3.7 to (depending on your luck) 4.5 or so

similar build to what I would make for $1000 and I research this stuff for hours a day :p

don't pair a NVidia gpu with an amd cpu. make your life easy. amd radeon settings will be able to cover all drivers for that computer in one easy install and the 380 is a good gpu!

cheers!
