So ive had my pc build for almost a year now. Never had any problems with it up until yesterday. Last night at around 10pm my pc froze for the first time ever. i restarted the pc and successfully loaded into windows again. Turned it off later that night and came back to my computer the next morning(today). Turned it on and got passed the bios and then into a windows loading screen with the revolving balls at the bottom. then it froze. i turned it off after like 10 minutes and tried again. Had the same problem. try after try i would have this problem where i couldn't load into windows and the pc was just frozen. I got a new message saying preparing automatic repair. but no loading balls and it stayed frozen. I turned it off again and then a new message came up when i turned it back on. it said that there was an error try restarting. This cycle kept happening so i called up windows to ask for help. they said its a problem with windows. So we tried to repair it in the bios and when we entered the bios the pc froze after 10 seconds of use. So after numerous tries the man finally said that at that point it was a motherboard problem. so they redirected me to msi and i spoke with them and they said it is quite possibly a motherboard problem or a software problem. They advised i sent them my motherboard to see if they can fix the problem. My dad was skeptical and bought a new hard drive thinking that the windows was the problem and we would just buy a new copy and a new hard drive and start over. We put the new hard drive in and the backup flashdrive with the iso files. the pc started up and i could do stuff in the bios. Finally the windows installer started up and then when i was about to click through the windows installation stuff it froze again. Is this a moterboard problem in anyones opinion? Sorry its such a long story but i want everyhting to be there for someone who reads this.
