Hello everyone :)

Recently started playing Rainbow Six Siege and i've noticed my NAT connection is moderate which is causing some issues between me and my friends that's getting rather annoying.

Now i'm not the most technical person when it comes to these things because I've already seen a couple things mentioned such as DMZ, or port forwarding etc etc.

What also doesn't make sense is I'm playing through an ethernet cable and not necessarily on wifi.

My internet provider is Time Warner Cable and the modem is the Arris for anyone that may ask. If I could get a solid answer with steps for me to figure this out or whatever I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

What is the model number of the Arris?
PC, PS4 or XBone?
Is it wired directly to the Arris (no other router in network)?

Pc, and it's the all in one I believe. The one that's already the modem with the built in router as well.

Shouldn't I not be experiencing these issues seeing as how im using an Ethernet cable?

Although a wired connection is far better than wireless in terms of stability and lag, it will not help improve a strict or moderate NAT issue.

You should not place your PC in the router's DMZ, as that method exposes all ports and could be used to compromise your system.

You should try the steps listed on Ubisoft's support page.

Your problem is likely related to a port forwarding issue. You can follow the guides on portforwarding.com for your particular router, and forward the ports listed on the above Ubisoft page.

I've honestly tried that but if I go to portforwarding it asks me to purchase something for like $40 when I click on the Arris model. Do I really have to purchase it?

Just click on "Close [x]" at the upper right of that screen and you'll be able to continue on to the instructions on portforwarding.com.

Okay and everything after that is pretty self explanatory?
