Need help with new PC

This is my first build ever, but I am wondering if it's good. I am mostly gaming, but hoping to livestream and record a bit as well.

Currently, there is a sale going on where I live, and there are different motherboards to choose between, so I'll put in a few options.

RAM: Crucial DDR3 BallistiX Sport 1600Hz 8GB (2x4GB)
Memory: Seagate barracuda 1TB
Graphic card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4GB PhysX
Power supply: XFX ProSeries Core Edition 550W (Will that be enough, and is it good?)
Case: Fractal Design Define R5
Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VII Ranger // MSI Z97 Gaming 7 // Asus Z97-A
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 120GB
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K

Thats my current build. Atm I am not planing on overclocking the PC, cause I basically don't know how to do that, which means I am a newbie. Thats why I am asking for some professional help. Hope someone can help me.

Forgot to include the CPU cooler which is Cooler Master 212 EVO.

That is an excellent build. You're not required to overclock the CPU and don't actually need to at this point due to the high clock speed out of the box. The PSU will be enough for that build. The MSI board looks like a good option.

the ranger is a nice mb the asus -a and ar are entry level mb. msi would be my 2 chose. for the power supply pick up a 650w unit with gaming pc you dont want to max out the power supply and have it shut down in gaming. if the evga 750w are still on sale look to pick one up.

Would the Asus Ranger be the best option? It's about the same price as the other ones.

But I'm really concerned about the power supply. Which power supply should I get? Because when I look at some, there are comments saying that it is making noices etc. Any tips for a good power supply?

The XFX is a good one, SeaSonic and EVGA have a number of good ones also

Okay thanks! But I am wonderin, will the 550W be enough, or should I really get a 650W?

A good 550 is plenty, could even drop to 500 with a good one, the extra 50 is nice to have though

The XFX TS series is what I use and it runs great for me. I have similar specs.
