Need help with new Ryzen build High Temperatures....

Ryzen 5 1600, MSI B350 Tomahawk, GTX 1070.... I just got my computer working, and when the computer sits on windows desktop the temperature fluctuates around 40-60 degrees Celsius.. I tried playing a game, PUBG, and the temperatures went up into the 80s. I feel like these temperatures are way too high looking at other forums.. Can someone tell me if these temperatures are super high?? The room temperature is probably in the high 70s or 80.. And I am using Ryzen Master App to check the CPU temperatures..

Well, the heat-sink can't cool the CPU lower than ambient temperature. Although it is amazing you are still alive in such high temperatures.

It does sound as though the CPU is getting pretty hot. What kind of case do you have? How many case fans? Are they orientated properly (front/bottom intake, rear/top exhaust)? If the case is filtered, are you using high static pressure case fans?

surely your room temp isn't 70-80 degrees Celsius. That's practically a sweat box. I'm presuming it's Fahrenheit. this would mean your room temps are approx 26 degrees Celsius. So, yes, at idle your temps are high. Should be low 30's. At gaming temps approx 45-55 and at stress 55-65. Ambient temps do have an effect for sure. But wouldn't increase your load temps to 80 degrees Celsius.

If your ambient is around 23c, it's likely a problem with your case airflow, so the cool air of the room can't get inside, and/or the hot air inside the case can't get out, and/or the hot air being exhausted from the case is getting sucked back in.

Or your heatsink isn't mounted properly, too loose or too tight.

80C isnt the bad though, maybe expected with the stock cooler if you're using it.

Corsair 500R case.. 2 fans in front and 1 fan on the side and rear top.. I meant 70 degrees Fahrenheit, im dumb.. but here is a picture of my temperatures on Hardware Monitor.. https://i.imgur.com/FThmeXH.png

It shows the temperature Max at 86.6 which was when I had Rocket League opened on the main page...

True story... My CPU cooler wasn't tight enough.. I had some serious problems and I literally took apart the whole computer and put it back together to figure it out.. But there is this stupid backplate for the CPU cooler, and you have to hold it just right and then screw in the CPU cooler PERFECTLY or else it gets unbalanced and wont screw in... I feel dumb but thanks to you and everyone !
