Need help with part picker cpu+ram

I'm going to buy ram 32gb (4x8) with speed 3000mhz, and my motherboard is asus prime deluxe x299 with core i9 7900x. It says system requirment for the ram without overclocked is 2666mhz. Is it okay/worth if I bought the ram with that speed? Is it actually running on 3000mhz or 2666mhz? thank you

it is not system requirement, just guaranteed ram speed. For 3000, it depends on motherboard, bios and ram. Intel is not picky, very likely to run 3000.
