Need help with Photoshop CS6

I have an old color photo (from early 80's) which has a very strong orange tint (bad room lighting and wrong flash timing resulted in this) and I can't get rid of it with Photoshop CS6 and restore the original colors. I've tried many tutorials but none of them could help me fix the photo. I've tried the Auto fix, I've tried Average Blur - Invert - overlay, I've tried Levels, I've tried Hue-Saturation, I've experimented with several filters but the only thing that I've been able to fix was a part from the clothes original colors. The background still remains unfixed, so are the faces. Is there a way to completely eliminate the orange tint without compromising the photo's integrity (no grain effect from sharpen and/or contrast)?

Photoshop is not a magic bullet. Some photos simply can't be fixed because there isn't enough information in the photo to effect a fix, i.e. you can't restore a color that isn't there to begin with. With those you simply do what you can and declare victory. Without actually seeing the raw photo that's as much as anyone can give you.
