Hey everyone,

My current Power Supply a Corsair VS550 has started dying on me.Like when I'm playing games the PC randomly shuts off and reboots by itself, I've been looking around and was thinking of getting a EVGA 500B Bronze but I don't want to risk getting another bad power supply because I can't afford to spend my money right now, that's why I'm here.

My Specs.
Intel Core i5 4460 @ 3.2GHz
8.00GB DDR3
Gigabyte H97M-D3H
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB
1TB HDD

Solution

It could be a factor of things...

1 - PC overheating and shutting down to preventing damage
2 - PSU starting to show it's age
3 - RAM failure
hard to tell by just that discription.

If you wanna get rid of some of those problems, open up your PC, scrub(not literally) it clean and leave no dust behind, that includes PSU fans... CPU fan and heatsink... and everything else. See if the issue continues and post results.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Do you by any chance know what could be causing my pc to turn off while I'm in-game(sometimes happens while I'm just browsing around) I don't wan't to get a new PSU if that's not the problem.
