Need help with picking parts [1st build]

Hey guys, I really want to build a gaming pc, but I need advice on what parts to get. I need a monitor, OS and possibly a mouse/keyboard. I'm literally starting from scratch.

I would like to run games such as BF4/Bioshock Infinite/Dead Island/COD/Far Cry etc. on decent settings with good FPS.

Please tell me; 1. If it's all compatible
and 2. If there's anything better I can get for the price or anything I can remove to lower costs without reducing performance.

Please note that if you're using an OEM license of Windows, you will need a new one when buying a new motherboard.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Any Australian site.

Location: Melbourne, Australia

Parts Preferences: AMD processor due to the cost (I guess)

Overclocking: Maybe.

SLI or Crossfire: Probably not.

Your Monitor Resolution: I want to buy a 1920 x 1080 monitor also included in the budget.

Additional Comments: Quiet would be nice, maybe a case that comes with an LED fan? I'd also like to run high-demanding games like BF4 on decent settings (med-high should be fine), and maybe ultra for other games like BF3, Bioshock infinite etc.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I want to move from console to PC.

The parts you've selected seem reasonable. I'd suggest going for low profile ram so it doesn't interfere with the cooler. I'd like to see a better GPU in there as well.

I've switched RAM to kingston blu 2x4G, are they low profile?

Also, I'm on a tight budget so what GPU would you recommend?

They appear to be, yes.

GPU's a difficult one, could do with having another $150 in the budget. Then you could step up to something like a 770 or 280x which would give you much better performance in games.

Could also try the 270x at $35 more.
