A friend of mine asked me to take a look at his gpu since it stopped displaying an image suddenly. I installed the gpu in my system and it worked until I tried installing drivers. mid install the screen went black and the computer restarted and it refuses to go into windows. I tried ddu ing with a different gpu in my system, I then tried different versions of drivers, crimson and adrenaline to know avail. what should I try since I don't want to give up on it just yet. I was considering flashing the gpu bios but I don't know how should I proceed since the computer doesn't recognize the card. Any suggestions?
My current PC is running a Ryzen 7 5800x3d on a Asrock b550m steel legend with the latest bios and 16gb of Kingston hyperx fury at 3200

Welcome to the forms, newcomer!

I'm assuming you're on Windows OS. If so, you might want to open up Device Manager and see if the GPU is flagged with a yellow exclamation mark while with GPU-Z, see if there are any fields with zero(0)'s showing up.

One thing we do ask, is for the specs to your build and your friends. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
