Need help with rgb fans

Hello pc experts and enthusiasts!
I am a beginner at building pc's and i wanted help with something. I wanted to ask that will the rgb fans glow if i plug them into the motherboard fan header? Or i have to connect it to fan controller for it to glow? Do the fans have two wires,one for motherboard and one for fan controller?
if anyone would help me i would be very thankful!

You will have two connectors on the fan. One is for the fan. One is for the Leds. The fan connector gets hooked to a fan header on your MB. The RGB LED connector gets connected to an RGB connector on your MB IF YOU HAVE ONE. If not you need an RGB controller.
