Need help with router (asus rt-n66u bridge with verizon fios)

Ok so I have verizon fios and I also have an asus rt n66u bridged to my m1424wr rev I. I hate bridging it because of the fact that verizon does not support that router but it works fine I love my asus router I use it for the wireless part. But the m1424wr rev I always goes down and idk what to do. Is there like a wired router that would work better with verizon or any way at all to make it so I only have to have the asus rt n66u on? It's a really good router and I hate how verizon doesn't allow a lot of routers.

I found out that verizon now supports the Asus RT-N66U as a stand alone router. When I first configured it it didnt.
