Hi.
Need you guys to help me with the build. Looking to play AAA titles with high to ultra settings. Would need to know if ryzen 7 will be more suitable or 5 would be enough for 1080 @ 100 + frames without any tears or sync issues.. right now I am going to use MSI 1070 gaming X 8 GB from my old build. Would I need to change it to more recent gpu.. please help..

Both ryzen 5 and 7 will perform well with the 3600 being a couple percent points behind the 7(benchmarks with a 2080ti), not enough to matter, though the 7 will perform better in non-gaming tasks. The 1070 will get 100+ in a couple games, but with max settings at 1080p would generally fall around the 80fps mark, plus or minus 10fps, depends on the game.

Tear or sync issues depend on the monitor. Nvidia does support freesync monitors now, but I'm not sure if yours has been validated yet.

The 3600 or 3700x will both be able to easily power through most AAA titles with over 100fps. Your gpu will be the weak link and settings may need to be turned down to get 100+ FPS in some games.

Thanks so much. I ve made a few adjustments to the list on pc partpicker. I m thinking of keeping my 1070 for now and replacing it with 2060 6gb after a few months.. I just wanted to know if the proposed build is future proof for Zen 3 and future cards .

If you are thinking or replacing your GPU in a few months it would make more sense to go with the Radeon 5700 or 5700XT. First the monitor you are showing is Freesync. Second at the same price as the nVidia GPU the Radeon is 10% faster and the 5700 has 8GB RAM vs 6GB in the 2060.
