Need help with SP2 problem

I have been to alot of different boards today posting this problem. But really want to get this problem solved.

I have just bought a new computer. First AMD system.

AMD 1700xp
Abit KR7A-133 mthboard.

I can install win2k without any problems. But when I installed service pack
2, I get the BSOD and
STOP 0X0000007B INACCESSABLE_BOOT_DEVICE

I have tried installing the via4in1 drivers and abit drivers before sp2
patch. And just running the sp2 patch from a clean install with no
other drivers others than from the win2k disk. Still the same problem.

If I don't apply sp2 patch. The computer runs fine. However, I think sp2
has alot of changes that is forcing me to install it.

My friend bought the same system. Only he has an Asus motherboard and it works fine.

Please I need help. Thanks in advance.

Lookup your problem among the numerous Windows Knowledge Basic. This website will provide you with the codes for various areas, i.e., in your case SP2. W2k Codes
