Hello,

I could use some help with hardware selection for a new build.

Existing System:
  • Intel Core i7-8086K
  • ASUS PRIME Z370-A
  • G-Skill 2133 (8x4)
  • MSI RTX 2080 GAMING X TRIO
  • EVGA 750 GQ 80+ Gold
  • Samsung SSD 970 EVO 500GB
Looking at UserBenchmark the statistics for this build don't appear to be terrible, but I am seeing performance issues with new gaming titles and with 3d rendering. What I am not sure about is how much of a jump I need to make to actually see a performance boost. Any insight would be helpful as I don't want to jump up 2% or something based on benchmark results with a new system if possible. :)

Thanks.,

Get the proper bios and drivers.

Clean out unneeded crud from the disk.

Don't run unneeded background stuff.

Cost?.....free.

Now run your stuff and see what's busy.
